The verdict is out!
Pastors Solomon Male of Arising for Christ Ministries, Martin Sempa of Makerere Community Church, and Michael Kyazze and Robert Kayiira of Omega Healing Centre have been found guilty of conspiring to tarnish Robert Kayanja’s reputation. They had claimed that Kayanja “sodomized” boys at his Rubaga-based church.
Each either must pay 1,000,000/=($408.00) and 100 work hours of community service, or serve 6 months in Luzira Prison.
The sentence is derisory but the point has been made – the pastors will not be happy campers as they walk out of the courtroom.
Hip, hip, hurray!!

Next time they (and indeed other pastors) will think twice before spewing forth arrant rubbish..
In my mind’s eye I see you doing an Irish jig (or is that a Ugandan’s/Bugandan dance) with the thought of your nemesis Martin Sempa doing time in jail. I do note that the $408 is a pittance for Sempa–even though he’s in Uganda– and if necessary his American benefactors will directly or indirectly gladly pay it for him. And from what I perceive, his Ugandan congregants will gladly pay it for him. With respect to the community service or jail time, he will likely figure out someway to conflate his vile preaching with “community service”. The bottom line will likely be that he’s not going to jail and that he will not pay much of a price. So you can probably stop dancing. At least that’s my view from the USA.
By the way, did you to to that pool party near Washington, DC this year? I’ve been looking for (lusting for?) the pictures. Where are they? Inquiring minds want to know.
Someone suggested that the community service should be done in a gay clinic – perhaps cleaning the floors of the recently set up LGBTI HIV clinic! Ha, Ha, Ha.
I didn’t do the pool party this year even though I was in DC. I was just too tired as I flew in on the day of the party. Next year perhaps.
