After being rejected twice by his own people, Uganda’s Minister of Ethics has resigned. AfroGay was about to launch into a lengthy diatribe on how this man has been the bane of our existence for five very long years. But then he saw that Buturo himself is trying to make as dignified an exit as possible even though saying that he is “quitting” seems to turn what really happened to him on its head.

Those who wish can debate whether he walked or was pushed. AfroGay prefers to read the tea leaves from this Monitor report as to what would have happened if Buturo hadn’t thrown in the towel when he did.
